Pen & Pose: Writing the Body

What’s happening now on our planet, in our nation, in our neighborhoods and workplaces and homes become embodied in ways we’re only beginning to find language for. Undischarged and unresolved grief, trauma and stress can embed itself in our tissues and nervous systems and limit how safe and connected we feel in the world. By using the dual tools of writing and yoga, we can allow fluidity to return to our bodies and brains and. In this workshop offered as part of Mental Health Awareness Week, we’ll intersperse movement with writing prompts to help us listen to the stories that we’ve been holding deep inside. Participants should dress comfortably, have a yoga mat and any other props they like (a blanket, blocks or a thick book, a strap). Be sure to bring your favorite notebook and pen and an open attitude.  Free but you must register. More info here
