I’ve been filming simple practices for resilience for the Smith Center for Healing & the Arts throughout the pandemic.  This one is a sequence to support your sacroiliac joint taught to me by Maria Mendola, one of my yoga therapy teachers. (She was AMAZING! A former orthopedic nurse who was hit by an 18 wheeler while riding her bike and healed herself using structural yoga therapy and a whole lot of discipline + great attitude). Your sacroiliac joint lies at the intersection between your spine and pelvis and serves you by carrying the weight of your spine in place. Low back pain can be the result of trauma to the sacrum; it will often tip to one side or get inflamed. It’s hard to be resilient when you’re in pain! Do daily or as needed.
